This composition began with more than 300 pictures taken inside from my parents house in East Williston, New York.  My focus was the fire itself, which I wanted to build from a central point outward.  The decoration around the fireplace made the rest of the piece interesting and challenging.  Along with various holiday decorations are some fireplace tools and a painting  by my grandmother.  A closer inspection of the left hand side shows the use of photos that contain the curvature from the top, but are blended so they don't disturb the flow.
